In the course of researching family history I find a reference to a grave site and when I eventually discover it's location I find this headstone. On it are the names of 5 month old twins of the Barron family, my family, who died in 1889.
Two years after my first visit to this cemetery I return and find the headstone toppled. It could be that their people are long gone and no one looks after their grave.
My guess is that the ground beneath the headstone heaved and toppled the upper portion. I have no trouble believing that Colorado winds could do this, as well.
I don't know how we might be related, but seeing their headstone lying on the ground touches me so I decide to make some repairs. I'm no stonemason but I can fire up the internet and research the topic to come up with a plan of action.
